NEW PRESIDENT FOR FESA
 
FESA is delighted to have elected a new President at its Annual General Meeting held on the 17th October. Mr John Douglas handed over the Presidential chain of office after two years to Mr Brian Griffiths of FTL Foundry Equipment Ltd.
Brian is the second generation to hold this respected office as his Father Sid was President in 1997.

Here we Grow Again
 
FESA ends the year with a flourish as another new members sees the benefits and commits to join the leading UK trade body for the supply industry to the cast metals sector.
 
UK Forex Ltd. a specialist foreign currency trader and has joined FESA to grow its business and support the current membership. The company who specialise in the supply of foreign currency and provision of currency transfers is able to assist any companies who export around the world.
 
Foundry Machinery and Spares Ltd of Walsall in the West Midlands joined in September 2007 bringing the membership upto the highest level for 10 years. Industrial Filter Services Ltd of Leeds recognised the value of partnerships and Trade Association membership. Following a short period of consultation Martin Gill of IFS Ltd. recognised the support and benefits from being a part of FESA.
 
FESA is delighted to have secured another new member Mayo Engineering who were able to take advantage of Grant support arranged through FESA from UK Trade and Investments. Mayo used this to exhibit at GIFA the worlds largest foundry equipment show.
Mayo Engineering are a specialist supplier to the Investment Casting industry and supply ModTech wax injection machines, they also specialise in 2nd hand foundry palnt and its re-location and commissioning. (20th July 2007)

FESA was well represented at the Worlds largest foundry show, GIFA, in Dusseldorf, Germany between the 12th and 16th June 2007.
28 members were exhibiting at the show, 9 of which were on the combined FESA stand and British Pavillion.
A significant number of members reported that it was the best show for years and that many had sold equipment and services off the stand. It was a common theme that everyone expressed a level of optimism the world's foundry industry growing and showing a real buoyancy it left a feel good attitude with the exhibitors and visitors alike. The Foundry Equipment and Supplies Association is again pleased to announce a new member, The secretary and Tennant Metallurgical Group Ltd. had been discussing the benefits of membership for some time, but when they saw the FESA stand at GIFA and the level of interest it was generating they made the decision to join there and then.
Jerry Harvey signed the deal on the stand and they look forward to being part of the FESA family.
Jerry said " I have know about FESA for years, but it was not until Andrew Turner explained the whole package in detail that I appreciated the value of being part of the trade organisation." (19th June 2007)
