New President for FESA

The Foundry Equipment & Supplies Association has vowed to continue to prioritise the promotion of member companies on an international stage as part of its commitment to member needs.

The pledge was made at the FESA council meeting and AGM on 29th November 2018, where members welcomed a new president and new council members into the fold.

FESA Secretary Andrew Turner thanked outgoing president Chris Wilding of Omega Sinto Foundry Machinery Ltd for his many years of service on the council and for his stint as president, in a year which saw the reintroduction of a UK foundry conference – CASTcon.

Wilding passed on the presidential chain of office to Foundry Trade Journal editor Lynn Postle, who will oversee FESA’s role throughout this busy GIFA year, where some FESA members will be exhibiting on the British Pavilion (stand H22 in hall 15). All FESA members are encouraged to visit the pavilion during their GIFA experience.

“At a time when we are in a state of uncertainty surrounding global trading conditions FESA has an important role to play to ensure export initiatives are pursued and remain on the political agenda,” Postle said. “Promotion and support of a global business economy is paramount to our members and the wider professional engineering fraternity.”
